There was jubilation at Kankwilimba Primary School when Lukulu Town Council through the Member of Parliament Hon.Kalila recently handed over a 3 bedroomed staff house, making it the first permanent structure to be built by Government at the school.
Kankwilimba Primary School has two classroom blocks, one was built by the Catholic Church and the other one by Save the Children Organization.
Hon. Christopher kalila in his remarks, thanked the Catholics and Save the Children Organization for supplementing Government efforts by building classroom blocks and a staff house at Kankwilimba.
He said the community requested for a staff house as priority in order to address accommodation challenges for teachers. He was glad the request was being fulfilled.
And Parents Teachers Association-PTA chairperson Ms. Liywa thanked the Government for answering the staff house Construction call as promised.
She however, requested that they consider putting up another 1×3 classroom block as the population of pupils has increased due to the introduction of Free education.
Kankwilimba Primary was Established in 2000 and later on Gazetted in 2015, The School currently has 307 pupils from grade 1 to 7 with 6 Teachers.
