The health management arm of Lukulu District, coordinating and delivering essential health services to the community
The District Health Services Office is the health management arm of Lukulu District, responsible for coordinating, supervising, and delivering essential health services to the community.
We play a central role in promoting public health, ensuring access to medical care, and implementing national health policies at the district level.
Our office manages hospitals, rural health centers, and community health posts, ensuring that services are accessible, equitable, and responsive to the needs of residents across Lukulu District.
The office is headed by the District Health Director, who provides leadership and oversight across all health programs and facilities.
Under this leadership, the District Health Services Office ensures comprehensive healthcare delivery through:
Delivering preventive, curative, and promotive health services at community level through our network of health facilities.
Managing immunization campaigns, maternal and child health, nutrition, and sanitation initiatives across the district.
Coordinating surveillance, prevention, and treatment of communicable and non-communicable diseases in the community.
Overseeing staffing, training, and resource allocation for all district health facilities and programs.
Working with local leaders and stakeholders to promote health awareness and encourage community participation.
Coordinating medical services during disease outbreaks, disasters, and other health emergencies.
Through these functions, the District Health Services Office ensures that Lukulu District residents receive quality health care, while promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in service delivery.
By integrating community participation with professional health management, the office contributes to building a healthier, more resilient district for all residents.
