Location & Geography

The district derives its name from the Lukulu River, nestled between the Chimbanda and Majoro basins, connected to the Luangwa River in the Zambezi basin.

Lukulu District has one chief, His Royal Highness Senior Chief Anang'anga, who is responsible for enforcing customary law through a committee comprising advisers and village headmen.
